Emergency shelter and counseling for victims of elder abuse.

The Kent County Elder Abuse Coalition has received grant funding to pilot an emergency shelter and counseling program for victims of elder abuse.  Clients must be over the age of 60 and a resident of Kent County.  Seniors may stay at the emergency shelter up to 30 days for no cost.  In addition, counseling services will be provided.  Senior victims of elder abuse may also receive counseling services only while residing in their homes.  To receive a referral, please contact your local law enforcement office or call Adult Protective Services at 1-855-444-3911.
